School Policies

At St. David’s we regularly review and update our policies to reflect best practice.

There are 5 mandatory policies that every school must have:

  • Child Safeguarding Statement
  • Enrolment
  • Anti-Bullying
  • Code of Discipline
  • Safety Statement

Policies re Anti-Bullying and  Homework have been reviewed recently by the staff.Our School Plan for P.E. has also been revised. The Homework Policy will be added to our website in draft form shortly.The Board of Management are due to review all three documents at the next meeting. The staff will review An Acceptable Use Policy regarding the Use of the Internet at our October meeting.

Over the next two years our Literacy and Numeracy Policies must be addressed in line with the directions of DES to all primary schools. This year our focus will be on Literacy and next year we will focus on Numeracy.
